Pisa |
| Pisa is abeautiful city on the river Arno, famous for it’s Piazza del Duomo, also known as the fleld of miracles. It is a wide open space inside the mediaeval city walls, and was contructed between the eleventh and fourteenth century.Here you can see the world famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, a real miracle! There is also the Baptistry, which is a large circular bullding. On the north side of the piazza is a large gallery which surrounds the anclent cemetery.
Adjecent to the piazza is the Opera palace, Piazza dei Cavalieri, Borgo Stretto, Ponte di Mezzoand Piazza delle Vettovaglie which represent the main part of roman Pisa. |

Monsummano |
| Monsummano Terme - Beyond being a termal resort Monsummano outdoor sport facilities include an 18 hole golf course and the chance to practice hang-gliding and rock-climbing.
The local market takes place on Monday. Monsummano Alto - The hill of Monsummano rises 340 meters above sea level and it is a real terrace overlooking a beautiful panorama over the mountains behind Pistoia, the hills nearby Lucca and Valdinievole between them.
Charming beautiful buildings of the village are the Church of San Nicolao of the 11th century and the pentagonal tower which bears witness to the existence of the ancient castle.
To go for a walk on the hill of Monsummano is an extraordinary chance to take, whether along the ancient local roads or the “Geological Path of the Hill of Monsummano”. The hill vegetation is characterized by rare varieties of orchids which grow spontaneously of different colours (there are up to 24 species). |
